Joel Santana is a painter drawn to moments that tell a story. Some of his works are whimsical, others are steeped in symbolism, and some are narratives inspired by everyday observations; yet, they all stem from something that caught his eye and stayed on his mind.
After two decades working as an illustrator for clients such as Disney, major video game studios, Penguin Random House, and various agencies, he turned his full attention to fine art. He believes that beauty lies in the smallest, most easily overlooked moments, and his paintings seek to express those stories visually.
